Maple Walnut Blondies

Rich maple flavor is the perfect complement to walnuts and white chocolate. Top with ice cream and caramel sauce for an extra decadent dessert. Makes: 24 squares

  • 1 ½ cups Cream of Wheat Maple Brown Sugar Hot Cereal
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup white chocolate baking chips
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 9 x 13-inch pan aluminum foil and spray with Baker's Joy® non-stick spray with flour.
  • Combine Cream of Wheat, flour, baking powder, and baking; set aside.
  • Beat butter with brown sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Add Cream of Wheat mixture and beat just until combined. Stir in walnuts and white chocolate chips.
  • Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into 2-inch squares.
