Bananas n' Cream Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes about 48 cookies

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 packets Cream of Wheat Bananas & Cream Instant Hot Cereal (1 cup)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 package (11.5 oz.) chocolate chunks
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Combine flours, Cream of Wheat and baking soda and set aside. Beat butter with an electric mixer until smooth. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Gradually add flour mixture and beat just until flour is incorporated. Add chocolate chips and mix on low speed until chips are evenly distributed.
  • Drop batter by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand on cookie sheets 1 minute before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
